Mr. Prim currently serves as Director of Safety Standards within Ryder’s Supply Chain Solutions Safety Team. Mr. Prim’s current position involves identification and evaluation of emerging safety technology as well as providing employee safety training and work policies. Programs that the Safety Standards team has implemented include Pro-TREAD web-based training for drivers and warehouse employees and GreenRoad Technologies’ driver feedback system. As Director for Safety Standards, Mr. Prim also maintains the company’s foundational safety program, RyderSTAR. This program provides a monthly calendar of safety-related activities specific to each operation that drive Ryder’s safety compliance as well as injury and collision reduction efforts. Over the course of his career, Mr. Prim has held various safety-related management positions including Safety Manager at Federal Express, Sr. Manager with Ryder’s Automotive Carrier Division and Assistant Vice President of safety at Allied Automotive Group. He joined Ryder in 2001. Mr. Prim holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
